New Ways to "Phish"

A new way to gather your personal information has just been discovered. "phishers" are turning into "ph-axers". As many of us have seen, there are many diferant types of e-mails floating around the World Wide Web and infecting our E-mails that discuss how your paypal account, or something similar like a Visa account, might have been compromised, or that there has been some strange activity. They then request you click on the link so you can verify your personal account info, and any failure to do so will result in your Paypal account being closed by a certain date.

The New Tactic

. . . You still get a similar email, however for safety it says DO NOT click this link. Instead it says to download this file, fill it out and fax it to us. Please do not succumb to this scam. If you ever have any questions about anything concerning your accounts or personal information with the credit union, please contact us. We will be happy to take the time to answer any questions that you may have.
